Founder Story
Ember founder, Amanda Schuler, was always shocked to see so many ‘clean’ beauty brands with lengthy ingredient lists, some even containing toxic additives.
Being passionate about minimal design, natural wellness and production transparency, Amanda wanted to do it differently, eventually formulating the Ember Wellness Collection, a forward-to-basics approach working with only a few essential ingredients while marrying skincare and skincare tools for deeply luxurious everyday self-care.
Ember’s entire line honours the skin’s natural barrier, by adding no waters or fillers, nourishing each and every skin type and age, and we’re so proud of that.
Schuler comes to the beauty space after two decades co-founding and building the furniture and design brand Gus* Modern for 20 years. After exiting the company in 2020, she knew she had to pursue her passions and facilitate making others love the skin they’re in, and here we are!

We are always cruelty-free and vegan whenever possible. Ember is vocal within the supply chain, lobbying to change current practices we don’t support.

Beauty is wellness, and vice versa! True beauty comes from taking care of our whole selves, from the inside to the outside.

We give ourselves grace. We aren’t perfect but we aim to balance our everyday lives, via movement, nourishment and rest.

A big one for us, so of course we make products for all skin types, genders, and ages. Promoting derma-diversity and skin-plicity is at the core of everything we do.
