FOUNDER STORY
Ember Wellness was founded by Amanda Schuler, an innovator at heart with a love for design and wellness. Ember is anchored by her passion for natural and alternative therapies and her commitment to creating products that are sustainable, inclusive, cruelty-free, and represent people throughout all stages of their lives.
Before founding Ember, during her search for clean beauty products, Amanda was surprised how so many ‘clean’ skincare products had upwards of 15-50 ingredients. This was what ultimately inspired the Ember Wellness collection; a back-to-basics approach where each product contains a minimal amount of ingredients, only precisely what is needed. All Ember products are purposely crafted with no fillers or water, honouring the skin’s natural barrier.
Schuler comes to the beauty space after co-founding and building the furniture and design brand Gus* Modern for 20 years. After exiting the company in 2020 during the pandemic, she decided to pursue her passion for natural beauty, health, and wellness with the goal of helping individuals feel comfortable in their own skin. Schuler feels that her background in design makes her uniquely positioned to create a brand that marries a minimal aesthetic with transparent ingredient listings.

Support
Our skin is meant to be supported with products that are effective and in the simplest form possible; not changed with products that damage its delicate barrier.
Light
We believe in both bolstering our inner light and letting light uplift us from the outside in. We use skin-supportive light therapy as a non-invasive way to rejuvenate the skin.
Compassion
We are always cruelty-free and vegan whenever possible. Ember works within the supply chain to lobby and ultimately change current practices we find objectionable.
Wellness
Beauty is wellness, and wellness is beauty. True beauty comes from taking care of ourselves from the inside out.
Grace
We give ourselves grace. We aren’t perfect but we strive for balance in our everyday lives, whether it is exercise, nutrition, or work/life balance.
Inclusivity
For us, this is not just a buzzword, we make products for all skin types, genders, and ages. Promoting derma-diversity is at the core of everything we do.
